Mr. Taylor has over twenty years of experience in education. He began his career as a teacher and coach in the Oklahoma City Public School district and quickly became an administrator. His experience in school administration includes urban, suburban, and rural school settings. Additionally, he has spent many years as a diversity coach and educational consultant to districts around the country. Mr. Taylor also has an extensive background in corporate sales and church administration. His aggressiveness as an innovator while Director of Technical Career Education with the Moore Norman Technology Center in the mid-2000s led to the implementation of programs to address two emerging career pathways. The Pre-Engineering and Cisco Networking Programs at that time placed Moore Norman Technology at the cutting edge nationally for these career pathways and, for the first time, gave the best and brightest college-bound high school students a reason to choose Career and Technical Education. These courses offered up to 40 hours of college concurrent mathematics enrollment and lab resources that rivaled OU and OSU.

Mr. Taylor likes to spend his leisure time working out with his wife of thirty-three years, hiking, and hanging out with family. He needs to do more of the physical activities as his waistline has been negatively impacted by COVID-19. LOL.

Mr. Taylor believes a school culture infused with Christian role models, the Word of God, and Best Practices from both education and business will result in exceptional student achievements. His approach in five words: “Love God and Love People.” Mr. Taylors enjoys building new relationships, so his office door is usually open for visitors.
