Graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000. She has Oklahoma certification in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Sara has taught 17 years in public and private school settings. Four of those years were spent working with the Mid-Del Academic Center for Enrichment. Mrs. Fisher was chosen to serve 2 years on the state gifted and talented board (OAGAT). She has also been an adjunct professor for Rose State College, in the Kids College Program for the last 15 summers. She has written curriculum, developed objectives, and designed learning blueprints for various ages.
Outside of traditional classroom teaching, Sara has worked with Oklahoma Parents as Teachers (OPAT) as a parent educator. She conducted weekly book clubs and playgroups for families with children ages 0-3. Mrs. Fisher made home visits with families to encourage social/ emotional, language, motor, and cognitive development. Throughout the school year, she also teaches Early Bird classes that are a part of Smart Start of Oklahoma. Sara is passionate about early literacy and daily reading.
Sara and her husband, Jason, have 3 children, Adam (12), Jack (9), and Ava Jane (3). The Fishers also have 3 dogs, 6 chickens, and a small garden they like to call “Fisher Farms”. For the last 4 years her family has been doing a blended home school model of education. Her family is in school on M / W / F and home learning together on T / Th. This has been an amazing blessing and learning adventure.
Mrs. Fisher loves spending time with her family, reading, being outdoors, and all things chocolate! She is blessed by the opportunity to be a part of Victory Family School and can’t wait to see God move in might ways.
