CHRIS

Chris Jones is the middle and high school History teacher at Victory Family School. He graduated high school in California in 2003 and attended Bible school the following year, where he met his wife. They married in 2005 and have two children, Jensen and Harlan, who are also part of the Victory Family community.

Before joining VFS, Chris spent nearly 15 years serving as a missionary in Papua New Guinea. There, he helped develop an alphabet and early literacy program for an unreached people group, working closely with the local community to translate the Bible and teach foundational reading skills. He also led Bible teaching and discipleship efforts in a tribal context, gaining a deep appreciation for cross-cultural education and spiritual formation.

Chris brings a passion for storytelling and a biblical worldview into his history classroom, helping students see God’s purpose throughout the events of the past. He uses technology, music, and interactive lessons to make learning engaging and relevant. Outside of school, Chris enjoys studying theology, writing songs with his band SWAMPRAT, and spending time with his family. They attend Wildwood Community Church and are grateful to be part of the VFS community.
