Training the next generation of leaders
The motto "Terras Irradient" is Latin for "Let them give light to the world." Terra Irradient is a guiding principal for how we train and send students out into the world.VFS's mascot is the ram, which symbolizes Christ as both the leader of the herd and also a sacrificial animal, reminding us of Christ's sacrifice on the cross for our sins.This act was foreshadowed in the story of Abraham and Isaac in Genesis 22:13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided." (NIV).
